The training block is well underway and April 26th is circled on every calendar in the house.
After a solid rebuilding stretch through the winter, the focus is shifting toward race day. The run/walk protocol has been the backbone of it — nothing glamorous, but it works, and the legs are coming around nicely. The Wahoo has been getting plenty of use on the cold mornings, and volleyball three nights a week has kept the competitive edge sharp.
The goal for April isn’t a PR. It’s a strong, healthy finish and a good platform for the summer triathlon to follow. Small steps, bigger picture.
